Rules for Free Your Stuff

Scope

Free Your Stuff is an app for locally passing on usable items. The app connects people who want to give something away for free with people who want to pick those items up.

By using the app, you accept these terms of use. Additional in-app notices, safety rules, and the privacy policy also apply.

Account and access

• You must use truthful contact details and protect your account from unauthorized access.
• You may not transfer your account to third parties or use it for automated, abusive, or commercial mass activity.
• If you suspect that your account has been misused, please inform us promptly.

Listings and content

You remain responsible for content you add to Free Your Stuff, including text, photos, location information, and messages. Describe items accurately, mention visible defects, and only use photos for which you have the necessary rights.

In particular, unlawful, dangerous, misleading, discriminatory, offensive, or copyright-infringing content is not allowed.

Prohibited items

Items may not be offered via Free Your Stuff if passing them on would be unlawful, dangerous, or age-restricted. This includes in particular:

• Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and dangerous chemicals
• Medication, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and similarly regulated goods
• Living animals, personal documents, IDs, or payment data
• Stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise unlawfully obtained items
• Defective electrical devices or other items that pose an obvious risk

Pickup and safety

Handovers take place independently between the people involved. Agree on clear times and safe, easy-to-reach locations. Do not share unnecessary private information and cancel a handover if you feel unsafe.

Free Your Stuff does not sell items, does not review listings before every handover, and does not become a party to any agreement between users.

Moderation and suspension

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts if these terms, safety rules, or applicable law are violated or plausibly reported as violated. We consider the severity of the violation, repeated behavior, and possible risks to the community.

Availability

We strive to operate the app reliably, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, technical issues, updates, or external service providers may temporarily limit use.

Liability

We are liable in accordance with statutory rules in cases of intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, and mandatory statutory liability. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations and only up to the foreseeable, typical damage.

The users involved are responsible for the condition, safety, legality, and actual handover of items.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms if features, legal requirements, or safety requirements change. We will inform you about material changes in an appropriate way. If you continue to use the app after the changes take effect, the updated terms apply.
