Introduction
Thank you for visiting our website. Protecting your personal data is important to us. In this privacy policy we inform you which data we collect when you visit our website, for what purpose we use it, and on which legal basis.
Personal data is processed exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
Types of data processed
- Master data (e.g. names, addresses)
- Contact data (e.g. email, phone numbers)
- Content data (e.g. text entries, photographs, videos)
- Usage data (e.g. visited web pages, access times)
- Meta/communication data (e.g. device information, IP addresses)
Initial contact
When you contact us by email, phone, or contact form, the information you provide is stored to process the request and in case follow-up questions arise. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual communication, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Consent and cookie settings
Where we obtain consent for processing personal data, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis. Technically non-essential cookies, tracking, and external services are not loaded on this website without prior active consent. You can withdraw or adjust consent at any time with future effect.
Retention period
Personal data is stored only as long as required for the respective purpose or as long as a legal retention obligation exists. Tax and commercial retention obligations are generally 6 or 10 years depending on the type of document.
Cookies
Our website does not store tracking or marketing cookies without your consent. For consent management, your choice may be stored locally in the browser. Details are available in the cookie notice.
Sharing data
Your personal data is not transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We only share personal data with third parties where necessary to perform a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), where you have expressly consented (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), or where overriding legitimate interests or legal requirements oblige us to do so.
If data is transferred to recipients in third countries (outside the EU/EEA), this is done only on the basis of appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, in particular EU standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
User rights
You have the right at any time to:
- Access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdraw consent you have given (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)
Data entries (forms, login, payment)
Entries in contact forms, order areas, or login areas are transmitted encrypted (TLS / https). We recommend checking that your browser shows the lock symbol or "https".
Hosting provider
Hetzner
We use the Hetzner service from Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) for our website. Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or our legitimate interests in a functional, secure, and user-friendly website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Further information is available in the provider's privacy policy: https://www.hetzner.com/de/rechtliches/datenschutz.
External services
External services are only embedded on this website where they are technically necessary or you have consented beforehand. With consent, the optional analytics service Umami is loaded (see the section "Web analytics with Umami"). Marketing pixels or externally hosted fonts are still not embedded on the legal pages.
Web analytics with Umami
With your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TTDSG) we use the Umami Cloud web analytics service provided by Umami Software, Inc. Without consent, the analytics script is not loaded and no data is transferred to Umami.
Umami works without cookies and without persistent identifiers. It records visited pages (without URL parameters), the referring page, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, the approximate origin (country/region), and individual interaction events such as clicks on key buttons. IP addresses are not stored; visits are distinguished only by a daily-rotating, non-reversible hash value. No profiles of individual people are created.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect via the cookie settings; data collection then stops immediately. Processing may also take place on servers outside the EU/EEA (including the USA); transfers are safeguarded by appropriate guarantees under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR. Further information is available in the provider's privacy policy: https://umami.is/privacy.
Fonts
The website uses system fonts from the respective device. This means no font files are requested from third-party providers when these pages load.
Contact form & online forms
Contact form
Our website offers a contact form through which you can contact us. The data you enter in the input fields (e.g. name, email address, message) is transmitted to us and stored. This data is processed to handle your request on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to entering into or performing a contract, or on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Consumer dispute resolution
We are not obliged and generally not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to adjust this privacy policy from time to time so that it always meets current legal requirements or reflects changes to our services. The current version applies when you visit the website again.
